Crystal binding to libgexiv2.

Extracting EXIF,IPTC and XMP metadata in photo and video files.

Installation

  1. Install libgexiv2:

    $ sudo apt install libgexiv2-dev

  2. Add the dependency to your shard.yml:

    dependencies:
  exiv2:
    github: y2k2mt/exiv2.cr
    version: 0.1.1

  3. Run shards install

Usage

require "exiv2"

metadata = Exiv2::Metadata.new "/somewhere/image.jpg"
metadata.model # e.g. "Canon EOS 40D"
